Joint Submission with the Risk Theory Society
The Journal of Risk and Insurance (JRI) continues to partner with the Risk Theory Society (RTS) to offer authors the opportunity to submit papers both to the RTS Annual Seminar and to the JRI. When submitting to RTS, if you wish, you may also have the paper considered for publication in the JRI. We consider this a “free” trial, in that if the effort is not successful, you may resubmit your paper to the JRI at a later point in time after addressing the comments received. Please designate your interest in having the paper considered by the JRI when submitting to RTS. Without a clear indication of “opting-in,” a paper will not be forwarded to the JRI. For more information, visit the Risk Theory Society web site at https://www.aria.org/risk-theory-society.
Prior Review
Authors are invited to submit prior reviews and decision letters from manuscripts they previously submitted to top journals.
Data Policy
JRI has a data policy in which authors of accepted papers are expected to post their data and programs, along with sufficient details to permit replication, to the new JRI data repository. Exemptions will be considered in the case of proprietary data. The policy is required for papers submitted starting on July 1, 2023, and for paper accepted for publication as of July 1, 2025, authors whose work is being published in the meantime are strongly encouraged to use the repository
